The pin that goes through the ears behind the front axle to attach my front blade is missing. Is there anything special about this pin? Does it need to be hardened? Or is there a standard part out there? I am hoping to pay less to get it hooked up than the blade (in pieces) cost me.

Thanks in advance.

Brian, be aware that the "pin" does not pass through those ears unless your blade is different than any one I've ever seen. It passes through the square in the front axle housing. It is "bushed" so to speak by two square "nuts" that are inside the axle housing which are held in their positions by a 1" pipe spacer. The rod is nothing special, just a piece of 5/8" or 3/4" steel rod. If questions persist, let me know?

Thanks a bunch. Probably saved me losing a blade and wrecking a casting. Turns out that the ears are 3/4" and it all seemed to fit there.

I'll add a couple of square spacers to the parts list.

Know what the ears are for?
