Does anyone have a real good picture of the 3 bottom No.8 on rubber. I need to see if my helper springs are hooked right and if there is to be 3 springs instead of 2 as this one has. I'm still having problems with getting it to come all the way up,part way then wheel slides, have chains on lift wheel too. Are power lift parts still available from IH?
I think mine is like the picture, top right, being pulled by the MD on page 229 of the 150 years of IH. The 2 bottom is same but only see 1 helper spring Really a neat plow and got to get it working for plow days. A operators manual would be nice too. You see I'm from a dry land farm, now ONE WAYS I know about. lol Thanks for any help you can give.

FM thanks for the quick come back. I did clean it all up as it was caked pretty bad inside, then it seemed that made it worse. Could it be to heavy of a spring on the catch? I added one as it was going by the catch some times and would drop into the ground and then come right back out again, or at least part way up, and then drop only 1/2 way down.
Thanks again for you help, will watch for manual on E Bay.

2 Springs is right. It has been a while since I did it, but when I had that problem I took the clutch apart(thanks to some helpful soul here at YT!) and degreased it. It worked like a charm afterwards. Take the hubcap off(be sure to loosen the setscrew first), take out the pin, take off the wheel. I beleive that is all you have to do. There is a little arm with a roller on it, and inside the hub there is a bunch of ridges. Take some degreaser, diesel fuel, kerosene, PB Blaster, whatever, and spray her down. Scrape off all the crap and it'll work.
If you need a manual I see them for 5-10$ on EBAY all the time.
