What is the correct rear tire size for an A? It has 9.5/9-24. Is this right? I have to buy a new set and I would like them to be right. Thanks Alan

Here is a picture of our Farmall 100. It has 12 in rims and 13.5 X 24

You need to know what size rims you now have. When the tractor was new the sizes were 7x24,8x24,9x24 and 11x24. The rim sizes were 7,8,9,and 10. measure the rims outside to outside a 7in will measure 8in. Then we can go from there. What size are on the front now? It is up to you as for tread design and type. You can get the original 45deg bar in some sizes. All depends on what you want the tractor to look like when done.

Both of my Dad's B's came new with 9-24 (tread width). The current designation for this tire is 9.5-24 (cross section). Same tire.

Whatever appeals to you in looks and need... you can't get original tire width designations anymore, and I believe when tractor was new, width of tires was optional, but I may be wrong there... I'm sure someone will correct me.

Dave: I think you are right, as I recall the most common was 8x24 now 9.5x24. There were some around with smaller tires. I have never seen a new one with larger tires, although it probably did happen.
