I'm fairly new to the world of red, and need some opinions about this tractor. I have the opportunity to buy a 230 Farmall with wide front and fast hitch. It has a nice paint job from a distance, but up close you can see more time should have been taken in cleaning it up first. Metal is good, runs super, steering is tight, and the rubber is 90% or better. The price is $3300. FIRM. What do you think? I'm not buying this to make money on resale. I just want a 230! I know my neighbor paid $3500 for a super C in like condition 2 years back.
Thanks for yor opinions.

Apparantly they bring more where you are, but in most places it's about $1000, possibly more, too high. The lousy paint job may indicate lack of care of the rest of the tractor, also. Probably has a lot of leaks. Not putting it down, just my experience with the 5 Farmalls I have -- but I don't mind such things, as I buy them to "restore" as a hobby.
