Bill: I'm a newcommer to these mowers as well. Mine is on my Super A and it does have the 90 degree on the pull from mower side and 270 degrees on the return side. That is basically same as others are saying and it works excellent.

I had a bit of a problem in beginning with alingment of idlers. This shows up very quickly with tearing on one side of belt, and you should just as quickly address the problem. To an old farmer the belt alingment was nothing new so I overcame very quickly. If you are not used to these and can not spot the solution find help quickly. That belt is not cheap, I've not priced it, I don't need to.

Bill, I also have a Woods L306 (not a 59) on my Farmall A, but it is probably similar. I am amazed that the belt can take the twisting and turning as it surpentines through the pulleys on the mower and idlers up to the drive pulley. At one point it actually makes a one half twist in about 15 inch span. I have done a lot of mowing with mine over the years and so far only had to replace the belt once. (now I suppose it will break this weekend when I am mowing after that comment). Roger

I can't say for sure, but the belt on my L-306 is made with an intentional twist. It's supposed to be there to help the belt run without flopping. Yours may be the same.
