i need to buy a head set gasket kit for my super a. i cant read the serial number on the tag due to damage to the tag. when i repaired my fathers international A, i had to get the head set for the c123, but i have read on the internet that the super a is a 113. is this so? is the head gasket the same between the two engines. all i need is head gasket and manifold gasket. does anyone know if there is a difference in the 2 kits.

There is a difference between the head gaskets. The 366301R1 Head gasket is for tractors without water pump, and the 366300R2 Head gasket is for tractors with water pump..

Bryan,
Depending on which engine block and what sleeve kit is in there at the moment it could be 113, 123 or 133 inches. But for the sake of ordering the head gasket it's a C113. Like Justin said, the difference is the water pump (C113's came w/o, C123's came with). Either gasket will fit, but the C113 (w/o pump) has larger water jacket openings to allow the thermosiphon system to work; the C123 (with pump) has smaller water jacket openings to restrict flow. Danger is obviously putting a C123 gasket on a motor w/o the pump, then trying to work it hard. Either way, if you have it apart try to flush as much sediment as poss out from around the sleeves.
