I know of a Kobota 175 diesel, 2WD, 20 HP that is for sale. Also it comes with plow, disk, tiller and mower. I don't know how many hours are on it, but it is in good to fair condition. this owner bought it from some one else. What is a good price. I have heard that parts are expensive and are hard to come by.

I grew up on a Kubota Diesel and I can tell you that it is one tough tractor. Ours was bought new about 1973 and it's still going strong. Three boys learned how to drive a tractor on that machine and it's teaching the next generation, too. Believe me, we tried to kill that tractor many times and couldn't. Davey even dropped a tree on it (we were having a precision tree cutting contest -- I won). We just lived with the u-shaped hood and 90 degree muffler (both still on it 20 years later). As far as I know, it's never needed anything major, other than the usual (oil filters, etc). It always started when I pulled the lever...Even in the coldest Maine winter. This may not have answered the question, but even now, with a Farmall M and a MF1250 of my own, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for the Kubota down home. Would I buy one? Heck yes (if I could afford one!) After all, all tractors now are Japanese tractors, why not go with the best?

You better believe it. I have had a 235 DT Kubota Diesel since 1984. and it has always been a honey of a tractor. It is my baby. Unfortunately now I am moving into the city and I have to sell it. I have no idea of what it is worth in money, but it sure has been a good experience for me and I would not be afraid to reccommend it to anyone.I am hoping that I will find a good home for it

I forgot to say that I have never had any trouble obtaining parts although the necessity for getting parts has bee very infrequent. I think in the years I have had this tractor I have replaced the cable for the hour meter twice and the battery and the rest has been oils and filters and fuel. Not bad I would say.No wonder I like to brag about it

Kabuta dealers still alive & well - don't see why parts would be hard to find. What does the owner have to say about it? Not familiar with that particular model myself.

I asked him if he ever had trouble getting parts, but he said he never had to purchase any. I know there are lots of dealers but I thought I would ask before moving forward.

Take your question over to the tractor talk and orphans forums to get some feedback on that model! You might get a nibble from somebody who's got one....
