Has anyone ever seen a front blade on a C? Is this a factory attachment or a homemade part? All I know is that it works very well.

I have seen lots of blades on C and Super-C. Yours is a IH blade, made by them.

Here's my B with a front blade. Note that it attaches to the final drive housings so that all the pushing stress is confined to the final drive housing and none is transferred to the chassis. Mine is definitely a homemade job, yours looks almost like it could be a factory job. Mine works well also, given the limitations of no down pressure and no hydraulics.

I have a home made plow blade on my 1940 Farmall A. It works in a similar manner to your setup. I do not use chains though to lift the blade. I have angle iron linkages. This way I can get some down pressure.
