Funny you should ask that question! Seems to be the most common problem of late in regards to forks. Do not remember reading a post on the 2nd & 3rd fork though, just 1st and reverse.

If you go to:

www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/index.html

and then click on Maintenace Tips and Techniques then Articles by Rudi, then Tranny Repair 101, you will find that very topic discussed. Had to repair Granny's Tranny so did a little write up about it.

Use it in conjunction with the TC-37 Parts Manuals and the GSS-1411 Service Manual. These are also available on the Manual Server.

Got to apologize for the busted link. A note has been sent to Kim and we shall see what she can get repaired. Hopefully the link will work soon. In the interim, just cut and paste the above url into your address line.

Check out the link below for some excellent cub unfo. You can change the shift forks from above. Unbolt the shift fork. Put a pair of pliers (locking pref) on the shift rail and tap it toward the front (I think) far enough to slide the fork off, being careful not to lose the detent ball under the rail below the hole up throught the case. You can put the new fork on and slide the rail back into place. The tricky part is holding the ball back in it's spot while sliding the rail in over it! :) Good luck!!
