A little moisture may come up if you don't get the engine warmed up completely. There is some moisture in the exhaust and when you first start up a cold engine the entire exhaust system is cold and will cause any moisture to condense and blow out as water drops. Same thing you get out of the tailpipe of your vehicle in the winter. Get the engine good and warmed up and see if this doesn't cure it. I notice this problem when I am loading and un-loading my C to take it to parades and shows. It just doesn't get warmed up enough. I am lucky enough to have a lot of old carbon buildup in the muffler so that my water drops come out black and then it paints the hood of my tractor. Running the engine for 10-15 minutes usually cures this.

Bill,

A certain amount of water vapor is normal especially during the fall season when everything gets wet at night.

However, because of the design of the exhaust pipe on the tractor it is somewhat prone to getting rain water into the exhuast manifold and engine.

Does the problem show up only after rain or every time you start it?

If it does it everytime these is the possiblity that you have a blown head gasket that is allowing coolant to leak into a cylinder. The problem with this is that if too much water gets into a cylinder then it could form a water lock and you won't be able to turn the motor over. My guess would be as I explained in my previous post.
