He Guys,

I'm scroungin' for parts.

I need these sheet metal parts above the battery trays for both sides of the tractor. I "think" it is in two pieces for each side, if I remember right.

They should be the same on any 766 thru 1466 tractor.

Any help?

Allan

From the sounds of it, at a great price too!
Have fun getting back into farming.

Thanks and I wish I could say that one in that picture was mine but it's not. Mine is a little dog eared right now, split in two and strung all over the shop in a zillion pieces.

Good news is that we can tell that the hours are original at 4600. Had one liner leaking antifreeze (second from front) and the flywheel had to be turned so will put in a new clutch plate, pressure plate and bearing in that area.

Still hoping to get this one out the door for under $10K, but I'm so darned picky and keep finding all these little boo-boos.

Check the corn crib as this is where most of them got to of the grainery. I had a heck of a time finding those pices for a coustermer.

Allen. I am going to be stopping by the salvage yard in Lyons, NE this Friday. It looks like my brothers and I will be purchasing a 1466 after the first of the year. There are a couple of things that we want to add/change on it once we get it. I can take a look for you. I know a guy that has turned a 1466 into a pulling tractor but not sure if he wants to part with any of the spares. That is why I am stopping by Lyons. By the way, your response to a post a couple of weeks ago about adding an additional set or hydraulic remotes was very timely. Our potato planter has three sets of hydraulics so that is one of the modifications my brothers want to make.

I am taking a couple of days vacation starting Friday so I won't be checking back in until next Wednesday. I will be able to get into my e-mail during this time if need be or if you e-mail me with your phone number I could give you a call on Friday while I am at Lyons. Randy

Randy,Is that place a good one to do business at? My wifes aunt lives in Sioux City, and I've been by it a couple times a year for the last 25 years, but have never stopped. John.

No idea. Like you I have driven past it many times. I grew up in Ponca in northeast Nebraska and Lyons was right on the way down to Lincoln. I guess that I will know a little more about at this time tomorrow. I also need to look for a couple of parts for the plow on my C.

Hi Randy,

Yes, please check will ya?

I'm going to try to get down to the farm this weekend; got an old house-full of odds and ends that didn't go on the farm sale.

Maybe the ones that were taken off my old 966 are kickin' around down there somewhere but, I don't remember seein' 'em the last time I was at the place.

Me thinks I'm gonna be re-buying something that I once junked all over again. :>)

And so it goes,

Allan
