Allan, Darn, I can't get over just how clean this tractor is, even apart it looks good!
What about the TA is it ok, or what?
Even noticed that this Ol'girl even has the power assist on the clutch linkage. Behind that little shield. What is that black bracket on the front? Apart of the loader mount the loader, That he forgot to get?
Also I see this ol'girl had the 4 loader mount holes that a 2350 loader would need.(last 4 holes in a rectangle, At the rear of frame rail). top pic. The loader was there long enough before he shedded her, that the mount loosened up a cocksion and wore the paint on the LH frame rail.
OBTW, Sure like the shop stools too. She is shapeing up quite nicely. I enjoy seeing the progress.

Mornin' John,

Well, it is no prize, but it is light years ahead of what my other tractor was when I first got it. At least, this one has some reasonable hours on it and I don't have to spring for new tires.

Like, 'Tractor Vet' was saying, there was a 'weepy' seal at the front of the tranny, which has got to be fixed, along with that half-worn PTO input shaft and it's bearing.

This loader isn't the original loader; they traded him this one about 6 years ago, then he parks the tractor something like a year after that. That bracket on the front goes with the loader, but there is a bolt givin' 'em grief and they are soaking it with penetrating oil.

Yes, the T/A seems to be fine, but they gotta pull both the rear hydraulic pump and also the engine oil pump, just to inspect their respective parts and workings. Also, I'm concerned about the PTO clutches; oil was pretty dirty back there, and I want to make sure all is well in that department.

What I like about these guys is that they are so darned picky, just as I am. Last time I was talking to them, they were checking the rubber radiator supports to make sure they were still soft. :>)

Now that ya have it that far down if it was me i would replace both seals and IDPTO bearing and rear seal on the engine , it is cheep insurance .I wish that i had a nice digital camera i would show you a neat set of stands that i made up before i bought out and I H dealer and got the big set they worked on all but a few of other colors like blue and white and brown as i did not work on vary many of them .I made them fully adjustable for width and hight and you could adjust them to make up for any twist.

Hi TV,

Yes, they are doing all that, plus that little gizmo with the teeth (goes in where the main clutch throw out bearing rides).

Mech said that it showed about a 'half-life' and while we were in there we should do it. 'Spose all that loader work took it's toll on the old gal.

Hi Todd,

You bet! What I like about him is that he treats 'em just as though they were his own; he inspects everything. I like that.

Plus the fact that he is about half the price as the "other" place, in my estimation.

Just courious Allen, your splitting stands, Do you have some sort of adjustment on them? I could see the bottoms, and am going to make a pair of my own.

No, haven't found the side pieces yet; they'll come in time, even if I gotta drive 100 miles to a bone yard to fetch the little rascals.

The thing that is keepin' me up at night is thinkin' about what this thing is gonna end up costin' me after all the dust settles. :>)

Hey buddy, looks like that might have been a side-hill tractor from down my way here the way the right front half of the front axle is out farther than the left side. Work ok if you only went around the hill one way.. :<) Harley

My little 2N Ford is set up like that too. Right side front out about 3" further than the left. previous owner said it was easier to keep the rows straight when he was planting spuds. Why he wouldn't move both sides, i couldn't figure out.
