Hi Shep,

First step is to 'size' your picture to properly fit the screen. I set 'em at 600x800 pixels.

Secondly, you have to load the thing up to the Internet somewhere. Like on the left side of this page for instance, under "Tractor Photos". Go in there and 'add your picture'.

After the picture is uploaded, open it up and RIGHT click on the photo itself, and then left click on 'properties' at the bottom.

Copy the URL address by highlighting it and 'copy'.

Then, it is just a matter of pasting that address into the "Optional Image URL" box at the bottom of your message.

If you have trouble, my email is uncovered, so you can email me the original picture and I'll stick it up here for you. Like those 656s!!

Hope this helps,

Allan

Hey!

Is it a spinner? My dad had one of those that we used behind the 560. Nice plow, but I never liked the darned 2 point.

Boy!, did that thing ever make that old diesel grunt! :>)

Wow, that sure is a beauty. If I had a shed, I would definitely want to see a tractor like that in it! I wonder how that chrome stack sounds. . .

The chrome stack don't sound like much of nothin', because you go deaf within the first 5 seconds!!! :)

It really needs a classic oval muffler to look right... Never liked those straight stacks.

You bet!

Ya gots to wear the Mickey Mouse ears anyway with these things.....I sure wouldn't have a pipe on a tractor.

My ears are still ringin' from all those years atop the tractors. They is LOUD!

Wow...that is a great looking tractor. Are you shoppin for another tractor already Allan? I know you said you just have one more to go...which model are you lacking?

One more question...were those white letter tires common/original? I have seen them before and they look great on the right tractor....would look pretty out of place on my old Farmalls though.

Hi Brian,

Naw, I was thinkin' kinda hard about a 766D because that is what I had before, but the more I think about it, I've now pretty well got everything I'll ever need.

I need the 9 for a plow tractor & ensilage cutter and the old 686 will do just fine for the light work.

Don't think the white lettered tires were a factory thing; sure weren't on any of the new ones I ever bought anyway. :>)

Mornin' Ian,

Red is right. Any of these IH tractors above about 60 horsepower are too loud for the human ear to withstand (about 80 decibels) without hearing loss.

When they are wound up and working hard, the tractors just simply "scream" and the sound is unbearable.

So, if you want to protect and save your hearing, you have to use ear protectors. I have a permanent "ringing" in my ears 24 hours a day because I had to learn this lesson the hard way. :>(

It had the IH 436 motor.YES it will be loud!my dad, who was deaf in one ear and had 70% hearing loss in other would replace mufflers with straight pipes because he liked the sound. His 1466 with cab was so loud that you had to use headphones or enjoy ringing ears.It was louder in the cab than on a 1066 openstation with muffler when under load but darn it sounded so sweet coming acrossed the field. To get the white lettering just go to a hobby store or walmart and buy the white paint markers, next make sure tires are clean on the sides after that it"s just like kindergarten outline the letters and stay in the lines. If you have new tires allow them to age a month or so or the UV protectant whill cause your new white letters to yellow :[
