I have noticed that there are two different styles of fenders available for Farmalls like the M and H. One style like the masses that I have seen has a narrow bead along the top edge. The other style is like the repos and has a more flat top lip that is about twice as wide as the other style. Anyone know what’s the difference on these?

Contact Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch. He sells both styles like what you are describing. There is a difference in price but I don't remember how much.

He can tell you everything about both fenders.

The flat tops were not an option, some people put them on because they like the way they look.

I am not talking about flat tops. I am talking about fenders that look exactly the same from the side, but from the top are noticably different when compared side by side.

CBL answered your question -- again there was only one style of fenders on the H/M. Other styles may fit and are a matter of personal preference.

Brian the ones you are talking about came with the 460-560 tractors. Some of the 06 series tractors also had these fenders unless you ordered the flat top fender.

OK. I just found a picture of the 460-560 fenders. These are still not the ones I am talking about either. I mean they are EXACTLY the same as all the ones I have seen and have on all my Cs, Hs, and 300. However, the top lip is just SLIGHTLY wider. On the style like I have the profile practically comes to a point all along the top edge. On these other ones, instead of the point at the top, the edge is flattened about 1/2" wide. If you have ever seen the aftermarket fenders, then you will know what I am talking about. But the ones I just saw were definitely old. I saw this style on a '54 Super M last winter at a tractor show. The fellow told me they were original fenders but I didn't believe him until I saw these old ones here the other day.
