Howdy Folks. I just bought a 49-Cub and the touch-control worked fine the first few times I tried it but now it wont stay still, It jumps up & down violently in any position except when it is in the fully down position. Has anybody here experienced this same problem and have the solution for fixing it.? Thanks Bronson

Suggest checking the hydraulic fluid level.

Also check engine oil level. You may be leaking hydraulic fluid into the engine.

Thanks for the suggestion Gene. I have already topped of the fluid level and did a air-bleed procedure. Also there is no noticable rise in engine oil that I can notice. It amazes me that nobody has had this exact problem over the years. Yesterday While it was jumbing in the up position I pushed real hard forward on the rear lift arm and it stopped jumping until I let my arm pressure off. SO, That is telling me that it must be a relief valve or sumpin not working correctly.?????

Seems more likely a check valve than a relief valve. Have you looked through the troubleshooting table in the Touch Control Serviceman's Guide?

In any case, the fix is probably to pull it apart and install new o-rings. While you are at it, you might as well do all of them. So it really doesn't matter which specific valve is the troublemaker.
