Model J mag rotor removal

Cub model J magneto. How on earth do I get the big gear off of the bottom of the rotor? My book calls for the came rotor as an H4, but I can't get this gear off. Did it come like that? looks like one piece..Andrew

NO, NO< NO its not the same if you break it it will cost you 30.00. H4 and J4 rotor are no where near the same.

Try to get some penetrating oil behind it. It should just slide off the shaft.
