Hi Guys,

Kinda settin' around in limbo in this part of the country. Too early to work ground and plant and also way to early to fall plow.

Spent yesterday putting new cover boards on the old IH plow and worked myself right out of the little putzin' jobs.

Wife says I need to get after cleanin' out those old dead trees and start building a new corral. What the heck does that have to do with old red iron, anyways? :>)

Mighty fine looking plow, Allan. Use that old red iron for skidding those trees.

Hi Allan, That'a good looking plow with all new
moldboards and points. I had my wife to plumb and hold my metal posts for our chain link fence
and I drove them with a sledge hammer. Just about
died from the heat and only got a few in the first
day. The ground was hard as concrete from the drought then. I let the garden hose trickle a small stream of water around the posts on the next day and drove the remainder in one day.

You let your wife run the post hole digger and you set the posts. You'll get it done twice as fast. You had better not tell her that. Hal

After looking up the definition of "corral" in the online dictionary and finding...
"An enclosure formed by a circle of wagons for defense against attack during an encampment.";
I am beginning to believe you when you say that you are way out in the sticks!
Good Luck with your endeavors. PS: Do you have enough wagons?

Allan, neutral is not a bad gear to be in. After all, the way you have been goin at it you should take a pause and look at the big picture again to make sure your head is still on. Maybe look at digging a hole with the little H and lifting up the corral posts and dropping em in a hole to burn some rainy morning. Or the window panes that need fixing, or the paint on the south side of the shed. Heck, from here I can think of all kinds of little tasks for you. Sorry I will quit now. Or you can come and help me get my tractors and equuipment ready for the show this week. Little rain this morning then its supposed to be sunny and in the 70's all week. Enjoy the ride. Migraine

Aw Ha!

That was her motivtion. I think she is trying to incite a riot 'round here, then. :>(

This would also explain my reluctance to 'jump right on that chore'. :>)

Just put up a quick, well insulated electric fence for the horsies. Will quiet them right down... or you won't have to drive anywhere to take in a rodeo. If it's like here it's too hot to do anything other than talk about work.
