Just bought another tractor today. A 1955 Farmall 100. I got it for $600. In good shape but I need a carb for it. I have an Farmalll A and was trying to figure out the diffrences between the two. I know the A has no hydrolics and the engine is a little bigger. I was wondering is there any real power diffrence between the two or anything else?
Thanks for the help Andrew

Your "new" Farmall 100 should have a water pump and the A doesn't unless it's been added. The transmission gears in the 100 are made of harder steel also so they don't wear as fast. The 100 should have battery ignition and the A came from the factory with magnito ignition. The air intake (above the hood) is flatter looking on the 100 and more rounded on the A. The 100 grill should have some vertical slots and the A has all horizonal slots. These are the differences I ca think of right off the top of my head apart from the obvious decal and emblem differences. Dave.
