434 IH starting

Hi again LOL.I posted awhile back about my 434 IH not starting. I had taken the tractor in to be fixed, they split it and did the tranny, I also had them look at the starting problems. I had to jump the contacts to start it.
They put in a new ignition switch and a Starter Solenoid. It worked great but it does not get much use. The a few months later I went to use it and nothing not even the lights work. Fully charged battery cleaned the contacts on the starter and ground.
I would think the igntion switch do the lights work of that as well?
I have tried my best to chase the wires but with the loader it it just to hard.
I was wondering how would you check to see if these two parts are bad. I have a problem with my right hand which makes anything harder to to.
Any help would be great.

Once you have the battery cables & battery terminal cleaned, try and start the tractor. If there's no voltage at the starter solenoid terminals. I think the solenoid is defective.

I would start by cleaning the battery cables at the battery and the battery terminals. One of the small terminals on the starter solenoid feeds voltage to your ignition switch. You need to use a volt meter set on dc volts to check for voltage
at your ignition switch. That wire should have voltage on it all the time even when the switch is
in the off position.

If you have voltage at the switch then turn the switch to the on position and then check for voltage at the other terminal on the switch. This terminal feeds voltage to your ignition, coil & distributor. If this is a key start it will also feed the voltage to the other terminal
on your starter solenoid when you twist the key to start. This wiill cause the solenoid to energize the bendix drive to mesh with the ring gear on the flywheel to crank the engine. Once the engine starts you release the key the voltage stops flowing to the starter solenoid and the bendix retracts from the ring gear.

If there's no voltage at the switch at all, you need to check for voltage at the solenoid itself on one of those small terminals. I think it's the terminal that's nearest to the battery cable that attaches to your starter. Be careful! You do not need to start the tractor making these checks. Hal

Well I thought for sure the solenoid was the problem. I checked the small "s" terminal that has the wire on it and no powerat all. I went out and bought a new starter solenoid and installed that. Still nothing at the small terminanl. What is the problem?
