Darrell does an excellent job and has probably done a couple thousand by now. Has the correct tools to open and close the seat pan lip on the fabric. He has done three for me and they come back like the originals I remember. If you are concerned about getting them greasy or dirty when using tractor for field work put on a tie on vinyl cover to keep the canvas clean. Just wanted to assure you that Darrell is the man for original looking and feeling seats. Hope this helps.

Allan and Farmallhal are correct, but canvas is not going to hold up, and gets dirty easily. For something you are going to use, even occasionally, and want to keep clean, get vinyl covering, correct or not.

Bryton,

They are a grey canvas. This one looks kinda white it the picture, but is the grey factory replacement and is darker than it appears.

I believe they were originally covered with white cotton canvas painted in a silver color. I drove a lot of letter series tractors of that era as a kid and never remember one being anything different. If you want additional information as to where they can be reupholstered as an original send me an email and I'll look up the contact information. Hope this helps. Hal
