I have an M with the swartz wide front and I want to move the wheels out but every thing is frozen solid. I've soaked it with about every kind of penetrant but with no luck. Have any of you out there come across this and what is the trick to get the arms and cross members to move.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I've never been tempted to move the Swartz axle on my M, but I successfully moved a very badly stuck axle on a Lo-Boy Cub. It will take two jacks to avoid the binding that will be certain with a single jack. Using two jacks allows moving a few thousandths with each jack before the binding will stop you. You'll need two pieces of steel the same size as the spindle so you can put one jack above the axle. Even on the Cub the 6 ton jacks were overloaded... expect to have to push very hard.

If you heat it red hot and this may take a big rosebud on the main tube and then cool with water it should bust loose. I have used a hyd. jack between spindles before this will get one loose then put in pin to break other side loose. The tie rods are much easier to heat and cool then spin them with a pipe wrench.
