I thought that I had my H running right and went out ot use it this mornign and it was runnig bad again. It was ideling OK but then I could not give her the gas it would just stall. I let it warm up for some time and it still did it. I pulled the carb off and took it all apart the needles out and put it back on. Now it will barly run at an idel. Hitting and missing. This is the second time I took it apart are the gaskets maybe no good?? I have no clue at this point!
Thanks for the help.
Andrew

If the motor is running worse since you've had the carb apart, that is a good place to start. Unless the gaskets are torn, they should be okay to reuse. It seems like anytime I take the main jet apart, a crumb of the packing gets loose and plugs something up.

Does your sediment bowl have a good screen in it ? If so, what is in the bowl ? It should collect most, if not all, the water and dirt in the system. If you are getting water, try adding some gas drier.

The first thing that I check when my H runs rough is the points, especially if it acts fuel related.

Are you sure you're getting gas to the carburetor?
You may have some rust/dirt in the gas tank, line
or screen. Open that main jet adjusting screw several turns too until you get it running. It's near the bottom of the carburetor. Hal
