I know that most have you have seen this, but in case you haven't can you identify. Note it has 4 wheels, not 3. Thanks Bill {Antique Acres}

At least it looks to me that way bill. When I say old I mean old too. Each disc is on it's own spindle instead of a shaft run through all the discs with two down pieces of steel with bearings on it like the newer versions were.

So is this the answer you were looking for? We use the more modern versions here for building up exsisting terraces.

Not a one-way, but a disk plow.

They must be one in the same. I looked at the picture again and it's definitely what we call a one-way here.

Richie, Where are you located? We had One-Ways and Disk Plows both in North Dakota and they were quite different. My guess is that the name is somewhat dependent on where they are. Would you agree?

Yes, I'd agree with you on that. Is there anyway you can email me pics of what you call a one-way? I'm sure I've got another name for it as well LOL. Oh yes.....Before I forget. I'm from northwest Kansas. Some call it northcentral too so I just tell everyone I'm on the line between northwest and northcentral 15 mile from the Nebraska border. That pretty much takes care of all that idiotic bickering the geographically correct like to argue about in these parts.

I'm at a disadvantage with trying to do pictures here. I'm at work. I don't have Internet at home. (Also don't farm and don't know where I could get a picture of a one-way quickly. But I'll look in some of my books at home and can maybe refer you to a picture if we might be lucky enough to both have the same books.) Are you familiar with the John Deere implement line called "Surflex Tillers"? A one-way is somewhat like that except larger diameter blades and all blades mounted on the same shaft.

Never saw one of these in red paint, but we had a similar machine of Deere manufacture (Canadian) origin, which was called a disk tiller. We used it behind a John Deere B to cut up alfalfa sod. It did a dandy job but the second time we tilled the field, across the furrows at 90 degrees the ride was sure rough! Ours was a 4 foot cut, and had five blades. The front furrow wheel and the rear - tail wheel doubled as weights, and were made of several pieces bolted together. We used this in the 50's and early 60's.

Well finally found where you posted it before bill. Guess that's not the answer you were looking for. Can't help you with the number and good luck finding it.

Bill, What more are you looking for in terms of identification? I thought it was pretty well identified when you posted it here a few days ago.
