I saw a 2 wheeled device for pulling logs behind an atv or tractor, but has anyone found a creative way to use the hydraulic rocker shafts to build a good skidder setup mounted on my super c?

think it might get a little light on the front if you hook directly to the tractor i hace a c with frame wieghts and wheel wieghts front and rear i mounted my direct mount mower on it it that made it light on the front

What would you be powering with the rocker arms?

I've been meaning to build a logging arch for three years now, keeps getting pushed to the back burner. I like the design that uses a choker chain hooked to a sloping beam above; as you pull forward, the chain rides up the beam and lifts the nose of the log a few inches off of the ground. It is just hooked up to the tractor like a trailer.

Good luck,
Bill

I'm thinking an arch mounted directly to the rear drawbar or axles, with a cable routed somehow to pull the arch top up with the rocker arms. I already have a bracket on each side for the sickle bar mower, just not sure about a cable running under the seat.

Sounds like a fun project, but I agree with the other post that the front end of the tractor would get awful light. I've seen the kind of arch that mounts on a 3-point hitch, and have avoided making one of those for that reason. The pull-behind type arch has some disadvantages, but would be more safe.

I've heard of lots of accidents when logging with tractors.

Good luck,
Bill
