I have an International Harvester 300 Utility with Torque Amplifier. I would like to know what model year it is and any other info on it. The numbers on the engine are C169 & 16B. On the transmission is 360486-R3. And on the rear section by the seat is 360558 R3. Please help me get to know my tractor.

Nathan is correct it is a 1956. the C169 is the engine type/ size. I bought a Farmall 300 last summer and have spent a lot of time getting to know it as you are doing now. My book says it is a 37 hp although when buying my engine kit i ran across something that indicated it is a 39 1/2 hp so i'm not sure which it is.

Yes...there is a plate near the gas sediment bowl. The numbers on it are 22916 SJ. Does that tell me something about what model year it is? Paul says it can only be a "55 or "56. Does this narrow it down to a particular year? What is the HP rating on this model?

As its a 300U it can only be a 1955 or 1956.There is supposed to be a data plate on the right hand side between the dash and distributor.

Ser. tag is near the gas sediment bowl, mounted to the clutch housing.
