YTers,
A friend is looking for parts for a 140. Are the hydraulic pump and metal lines to the touch control unit the same on Super C, Super A and 140?

Thanks,
Bill

Bill: Those hydraulic lines for C, SA, SC, 100, 200, 130 and 140 will all be the same with one exception. Any tractors with the IH factory remote valve as used on SC and 200 Fast Hitch. That same valve was used on all tractors if a customer wanted a remote valve from IH

Not sure about the pumps being the same, but I would think they would be. It would be easier to
use braided flex high pressure hose. They can be made for an exact fit and vibration won't affect them. Aeroquip, Alemite and Weatherhead sell the braided hose. They're easy to make up too. Hal

I"ve thought of the same thing for my SC, but wasn"t sure how to attach the hoses. Cut the metal lines off of the attachment blocks at the ends and weld/braze threaded fittings?

Thanks guys,
Bill

I would silver solder fittings on a short piece of the steel lines. If you take one of steel lines along to the store, they may have to correct hose ends. Could you email a closeup picture of the steel lines and of the pump if possible? Hal

Actually the parts he needs are missing. The tractor is an industrial 140 he bought at a state road sale; the pump and metal lines are gone and blocked off.

I think he will prefer the original metal lines to having custom lines made, but I'll mention it to him.

Thanks,
Bill

He may be able to get the pump and steel lines from a tractor salvage yard. Here's a web site for salvage yards. Some may be in your area. Hal
PS: I only see one in WV.
