Can you still buy a new Char Lynn power steering setup for a M Farmall? Can you simply ( relatively)add the motor to the steering shaft and run it off the tractor belly pump? Are installation instructions available?
Thanks

Bates Corp. Bourbon, IN. has new parts available, they may have a complete system. The motor alone is available from Surplus Center, they have a catalog but I don't know where they're located off the top of my head.

I have taken a ps pump from a 70s model Chev p.up and put on an M. Tucks up under the hood and not even noticeable. Very inexpensive pump from a salvage yard.

Although you can run the power steering from the belly pump, everytime you clutch you lose the power assist. I strongly suggest that you run an independent, live pump. One can be mounted above the governor housing and concealed by the hood.
