i have an old farmall m and i am not having any luck getting a john deer bucket to lift with it. the hydrolic fluid was pretty low so i filled it up with hydrolic fluid and then it still didnt do anything. it will move it out maybe an inch and then just quit. and if i take the cylinders loose and raise them the left one goes out fairly fast and is really really hard to push the piston back in but the right one goes out slow and is really easy to push back in. so i was told by a good friend of mine at a ih dealer to drain out that oil because regular hydrolic fluid is too thin and to just put strait 30weight in it. so i did but i am sure i have air in the lines. so is there anyway i can bleed the system? thanks alot!!

To get air out of the system just work the hydraulics while filling the reservoir. You also might check all the connections and such to make sure everything is sealed.

Also you said, "the left one goes out fairly fast and is really really hard to push the piston back in but the right one goes out slow and is really easy to push back in".

The right cylinder may be bad.

Put a gauge on it and see what it si makeing for pressure it could be that she was used to much when it was new and is now plum wore out and also , now i am not sure whjat the pressure was on the old deere's but it could be that there hdy. system was of a highier pressure and the old belly pump will not make enough . Test it then tell us what ya have then we can go from there.
