For a car engine rebuild I would spin up the oil pressure prior to starting a new engine. With the farmall h, is there a way to get pressure prior to starting a new motor?

One other question. Is it safe to paint the intake/exhaust manifold?

I have painted manifolds. I used a high temputure flat black paint. The paint didn't come off the manifold I painted. I got the paint at Rodefeilds, it comes in a regular spray can. If your tractor has a good paint job the paint manifold painted black will look good.

I leave the plugs out and with the starter, spin the engine until I have oil present on the rocker arm assy. For what it's worth.
