Is it possible to use the factory live hydraulic pump on an SMDTA to run a Char-Lynn power steering motor. I've been told there is a small adaptor block that can be used to get lines to the motor. Thanks for any help in advance.

Punch below! Image shows the priority valve included with the original Charlynn PS kit about 35 years ago.

However as 26Red suggests it's probably easiest to get a valve from your local hydraulic house.

I bought mine at force america. I think it's called an adjustable priority valve.. You local hydraulic cylinder retailer should be able to get them.

Force america also sells the charlynn torque generator too.

My SM has a priority valve (flow divider) ahead of the christmas tree valve to supply the Charlynn PS unit from the live pump. It works great.

You can get an adjustable flow control valve for about $80. This will maintain hydraulic fluid flow to the powersteering which needs about 3 gals/min to work well.

I have a similar system on my 300 and it works well.
