Trying to get the hex nut broke loose on the steering gear arm on my Super A. Does it have right or left handed threads. Been at it for two hours, maybe I should find the guy that put it on, bet he could get it off. Cotter pin removed and the threads are not rusted. Afraid to apply too much pressure because I am not sure of the thread rotation. Any help appreciated.

All the ones i have had apart have been right hand threads. The arm is a tapered fit with a key. And the arm can be hard to remove unless you have heat.

Have you tried using an air impact wrench? I think it would have right hand threads, but I've wrong before. Hal

Thanks guys, just got it off with a breaker bar. Tried heating arm, didn't work. Will take it to a friend who has the right equipment to get the arm off. Thanks again..
