I have a 48 farmall A with a set of cultivatos. I guess it had a exhaust lift at one time. Now I have no way to lift cultivators. I am looking for info pertaining to hand lifts or a replacement exhaust lift if one exists. thanks. Alan

If you think you have a 48 A, what you really may have is a late 47, and some of those had Super A blocks and timing assemblies, including the ability to bolt on the Super A hydraulic pump directly below the magneto. I have one configured like that, although I have not put a pump on it, since to use the Super A cultivators, etc, I'd have go modify it to accommodate all the linkage. Randy

Exhaust lifts were rare enough in their heyday... Now they're nigh-on impossible to find in any complete, usable state for a reasonable price, and parts have long since been discontinued. Same thing goes for the hand lifts.

Would hydraulics be a consideration for you? Even though it won't be live, a PTO-driven pump would make the job easier. With some careful fabrication, small hydraulic pumps can be belt-driven off of the engine as well.

Seems a shame that so many of the implements for the early A/B tractors got scrapped way back when.

The hand lift is different from an A to a B. Do you want to sell the levers for the B? send e-mail and price.

I think I know where there is one, about 70 miles east of Oklahoma City. Let me know if this would work for you.
