I am restoring a 1942 H and can not find the correct color to paint the rims. I would prefer using base coat/clear coat, but acrylic enamel with hardener would work in a pinch. Can anyone help me with a paint number? Thanks.

Cheap and easy way. Mix 1 part Rustoleum smoke grey with three parts Rustoleum aluminum and you will have close to the galvanized color.

Bill,
The rims were originally galvanized. My personal preference for paint would be Argent Silver as used on factory pickup bumpers and rims. It looks closer to the galvanizing than the aluminum and I believe it can be had in a clearcoat. Check with an automotive paint store.
