I'm not up on the Farmalls of this era...

This was announced as a W-12 Industrial, made in Canada, sold new in Montana.

Photo taken at the Dale and Martha Hawk Museum, Wolford, North Dakota.

First, it's not a Farmall.

It could be either a W-12 or an I-12, there is only a little difference between the two.

The Picture above is an I-12. It has the Industrial style front wheels and a foot throttle. It belongs to Rough & Tumble in Kinzers, PA. We don't know where it came from, but we believe that it was used to pull gang mowers, maybe on a golf course. The rear wheels don't look like IH, I think they were an aftermarket item added by the dealer.

the differences between them are, i12,hand and foot throttle, hand throttle optional. pintle hitch for an i, drawbar for w12. round spokes or steel in front for w12, cast or steel for rear of w12. hand brakes. cast rears with brakes inside hub for an i12 , or solid tires or zero pressure. solid fronts, or donut wheels in front, optional zero pressre. front end parts a little different. gearing is faster on an i12. w12 is slower. depending on year,w12 seat is different. kingpins could be different. thats true, its not a farmall, but i figured he was close enough. pg

There's a man in Ohio that has restored one of these tractors and painted it yellow. It looks like a new tractor. I can email you a picture if you want to see it. Hal
PS: He did a Super W6TA too.

throttle on column, standard drawbar. round spokes in front. cant tell rear wheels, but nice weights on rear. looks like a little w12. could be an industrial without the pintle hitch or foot throttle. have to read the serial tag to know for sure. but sure are nice little tractors. pg
