Adam, Get a set of MH 44 wheel hubs. They are 2 3/4" and they will fit your M axels. This will then allow you to get a pair of bolt on , 9 bolt tin rims. 34's are usually cheaper than 38's, but you can go either way. The standard M rims don't come in very wide sizes. You can have them made or buy custom one s, but either way will be expensive. Another way around the rim issue is to get a set of wheel from a 400. Then bigger rims are quite a bit more common.

I have heard from many people that the Massey 44 hubs will crack. JD 2010 hubs are the perfect size, 2 3/4" axel, but you have to have the keys machined. I bought a set of JD2010 hubs and took the hubs and one axel clamp from my wheel to a macine shop and they made me some tapered keys that will fit the hubs and my axels. You can also use the M&W hubs from an Oliver row crop 77, 88s are to big. The 77 has a 2 3/4 in axel.
