Just drained the oil in my 43 H which I bought this spring, it ran nice. I opened the plug and ant-freeze came out. Is the head cracked, is it the block or could it be a head gasket? I was going to advertise it but I don't want sell it that way. Used it on the sickle mower and it worked fine. Any coments will be apreciated.

It could be any one of the 3 things you mentioned.
Pull the head and examine the head gasket for any
blown areas. If the gasket is ok I would have the head magna-fluxed for cracks. Had this problem with a 2.5L GM car. I found heads in the junkyards, but all three of them were cracked too. Had to buy a new head for $500.00 and that's without any valves. Used the old valves had them refaced at a local shop.

You may want to pull the pan and see if you can determine where the coolant is leaking from. It has dry sleeves so I doubt if it's coming from them. You may want to do this before pulling the head. Were you getting any white smoke with the antifreeze smell? Hal

Block could be cracked on a cylinder wall alowing antifreeze to seep between it and the sleeve.Had that happen once. I would start with teh headgasket.
