Does NOSIH still have the NOS pilot guide available?

You know, I never use a pilot guide. I learned as a teenager to lightly snug the pressure plate so the clutch could still be moved. Get a good light and line your eye up with the pilot bearing. Shift the clutch plate around so everything makes perfectly concentric circles. then tighten down the pressure plate.

I also line up the side of one spline perfectly vertical. Then I set the transmission to match and they will slide right together. I've helped people with lineup tools and they do not get it as good as by eye. With the transmission input shaft lined up it practically falls into the clutch.

I started doing this on 1950 Chevy's, cars and pickups. We didn't have a jack so you lay on your back and stab the transmission with willpower. I've also done 1-1/2 ton 4-speeds that way but they are a real load on your chest. All that being said, they go right in when you try to line them up in advance.
