I have a oil leak in front of the injection pump timing gear. this is on the front side of the case where there is 4 bolts for the cover and one big center bolt. Just wondering when i remove this to replace the gasket is there anything special I need to watch for like timing or somthing else falling out? thanks

Ryan,

Have you tried just tightening the cover bolts yet?

They have been known to work loose and the oil leak can be cured merely by tightening these bolts again; no new gasket needed.

Yes and it still seeps a little, I'm going to paint the tractor sometime and just trying to fix the oil leaks, otherwise i probably wouldn't worry about it.

Hey bud, Those things have been known to drive a normally sane man nuts. Better email me your address so I can come and take that thing off your hands for ya. I'd haul it away at no charge too, just being the nice guy that I am and all. Harley
