Punch below for a few shots at the Western NY 2 Cylinder Club/Stokoe Farms fall plow day, held Sunday afternoon at Stokoe Farms Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch near Scottsville, NY.

Joining the half dozen or so Deere tractors plowing were 3 each Farmall and Oliver tractors, and my lonely Minneapolis-Moline U.

Despite persistant rain showers the night before the weather cooperated for us Sunday afternoon. Lotsa fun!

Bob: These heavy clay boys can't imagine the Super M pulling 4 bottoms. I've been to your neck of the woods, great soil in my opinion. Much the same kind of soil I pulled 5x16 semi-mount with 656 on 16.9x38 with no ballast other than cab. Those sandy loams turn easy, hard for our clay friends to imagine.

Great bunch of photos. I'm curious, did the Super M owner-operator take the green tractor. No point in him finding out what he's missing if you didn't.

I'll be sending you an e mail, at least I think it's still in draft. Sometimes I push the button and forget.

Marvelous pictures, Bob. I have GOT to find a way to get to a plow day somewheres. Better yet, I gotta find a 2-12 or 1-16 to haul behind my F14...

Nice picture's Bob. I always like seeing old iron at work. How about a couple picture's of your super H plowing next time. Seems that the super M gets all the attention when it comes to turning ground.

Thanks
Matthew

Thanks Matthew!

Unfortunately I don't have anything sized to fit my Super H right now. I did however get a lead on a 2 bottom plow while talking to a spectator yesterday. Maybe next spring???

Must be a REALLY STOUT Super M.... pulling 4-bottoms in sod. Nice looking tractor! Was the JD Standard tractor an R?

That super M would have to have been "Really Stout" to pull a IH 4 bottom plow, but as you can see he is pulling a Oliver 4 bottom plow. They pull easier.

My Super M was mildly hot-rodded during it's first rebuild in the late 50's - I gotta think it's had 7 or 8 extra horsepower ever since. Over it's working life it and that 4 bottom plow plowed literally thousands of acres.

There were actually 3 JD standards plowing yesterday - an AR, a styled D and an R. The sound they made together was amazing!
