I am walking in high cotton as I got the farmall H that my uncle [and I] bought NEW in the early 50's. She's been rode hard and put away wet, but she is home. How good does life get?

My dad bought a new H in 1950 (I drove it home at age 13), used it until 1980, always put it in shed at night and it was in great shape. New owner left it outside for 23 yrs. I found it in '03, a complete rusted wreck. Many hours and many dollars I have it like new again (was on cover of Red Power magazine May '05). When I start it up I get goosebumps at the sound and thoughts of all the days I drove it yrs ago.

I think you guys are as thrilled as me. Perfect tractor for cruising in evenings and pulling floats in parades...and pulling my Little Genius #8 in the Spring (tractor and plow in photos to the left). I'm 69 and still remember how to set up those old plows. Life is good when you own a Farmall.

This last summer I bought my Dad's H back from a relative. It was the first tractor my Dad ever bought with his own money.

The first tractor I ever bought with 100% my own money is a Farmall H.

He overhauled his in the garage one winter.

I overhauled mine in the same garage one winter.

Mine is a 1942 model. His is a 1942 model.

Life is great! I should have pictures in a couple weeks to share, going home for vacation and we are going to go pick it up!
