a friend just bought a 1949 M one problem he found is white paint on this tractor all over, under all the decals and every thing bolted to tractor. i've heard that IH had demo models painted white and then the dealers painted them red before selling dont know if this is true or not any help would be greatly appreciated. also this tractor has factory live hydraulics!? if you can help please do so, thanks.

Brian,
There were no "White Demonstrator" M's. All of the "White Demonstrators" were 1950 models of the Super A, Cub and C.
A previous owner may have painted it white or it is possible that the tractor was ordered in white from IH (they would paint them almost any color if you ordered enough of them).

thanks phil, this guy was wondering he has a few c's & super c's but this is his first m anything about the live hyd.? all i have is orange and they dont have anything live!
