The I@T is a good one.

I found the operating manual quite helpful during my restoration. It does address brake adjustment and just about every type of routine adjustment on the tractor. I also invested in an I&T manual. Book number IH8. It goes into detail on the more complex tasks.

The link below has helped me sometimes. Parts catalog is very handy. Pages 6 and 7 are the index.

I bought the Operators manual and the 144 Cultivator manual. Like you I like to have stuff hard copy to look thru.

Operators manual does covers clutch and brake adjustments on pages 46 and 47.

i have the owners manual, special attachements manual, and the parts manual on pdf. the owners manual is over 5 megs but still email able, but the parts manual is over 15 megs, not emailable, i downloaded each page for them from a web site, and converted them to pdf. i could try to email the smaller ones to you, but a good parts manual is a very good thing to have, at least its made my life easier everytime i have to order a part from my dealer.

Your best bet would be to get the original reproduction manuals from binderbooks. Get the operators manual, the parts manual, and the shop manual. If you consider yourself a pretty good mechanic, just the parts manual will give you a good idea of how it comes apart and goes back together.

Probably not, but the operators manual should cover it, although probably not in full detail. The shop service manual is what you need.
