How do you mount a 234 picker on an M. I have one that we used to mount on a 560 that had a fast hitch but would like to mount it on an M. Any information would be apreciated.

I got a 234 picker mounted on an M. Do you have the cylinder lift of the rockshaft lift. You would have to have cylinder if u wanted to put it on an M. Rockshaft is when your using a fast hitch or a 3 pt to raise and lower the picker. I dont have any idea where you could find the right mounts, but I can take some pictures of mine right now. Right now the picker is on the M and its ready to go pick corn, I have to take off the picker soon and I can show you the mounts. Also a parts manual would be helpful for the whole process. Trust me. LOL

To mount that 234 on your M, You'll have to locate either a pile of parts to convert your subframe or a whole nother subframe. They made a style that used a mechanical linkage to the FH or 3 pt to raise and lower it and they also made a style for the non FH/3 pt tractors that had a Hydraulic Cylinder on each side. other than those 2 types, the subframes are universal if you have the proper mounting brackets for your tractor. I have been told the Cylinder style is better even if the tractor could use the other style, the height can be adjusted more easily than with the three point.

If you have access to a Microfiche machine(ask your local librarian) there is a parts breakdown on Microfiche on EBAY now, or try to get a hold of the paper parts book and you'll be able to see just what you need. If you can't get a hold of anything, give me an email after Thanksgiving and I'll try to dig up my book and snail mail you a copy of the pages you need.

If there is anything else I can help ya with I'd be more than happy to!

Mike
