Anyone else having trouble with float valves sticking? What can I do to fix the problem? I've taken apart 4 different h and m carbs and they all do the same thing. I think alot of the problem is the gas sitting in there.

Along the line of the previous posts. Add a bit of gas line and carburator cleaner to the fuel. Shut off the fuel, run the tractor out of gas, turn off ignition on last cough.

Use a gasoline stabilizer.

When the tractor will be parked for a while, shut off the gas, and let it run until it's out of gas, then shut the switch "OFF".

Letting it run out of gas gets rid of the gas that would otherwise evaporate and get nasty in the carburetor, as well as dropping the float, and opening up the needle and seat, so the inlet valve will be "open", rather than pressed against the seat, where it will stick, by the float.

If the tractors will be sitting idle for more than a few days, shut off the fuel at the sediment bowl and drain the carb.
