Are all c"s & H"s positive ground? If not when did they change? Is the C & H wiring diagram, for the generator, the same? Thanks Bill

Pretty much everything that had a six volt battery was positive ground. There are some exceptions, but just about all of the older tractors were positve ground. Farmall As, Bs, Cs, Hs, and Ms as well as the other makes.

All the C's and H's were positve grounded with 6 volt system. So were most american cars and trucks. My first 12 volt car was a 57 Chevy. I don't think there's much difference in the wiring
except some of the early tractors may have had cutouts and the later with regulators. Hal

Hi Allan, How's that weather out your way? Very mild here in MD, but that's going to change by the weekend. Looks like KS and MO are getting some winter weather. Those 283 engines were known for losing cam lobes. I don't know if the 265cid engine had that problem. Ford had the same problem with their 1954 V8's. Hal
