In the early fall I restored a Dearborn 10-8 2bottom plow. It came out very nice (I have a 2pt C-20 as well that plows great). I use a Worksaver 3pt conversion for the 3 point stuff. I decided to use the Dearborn to plow a friend's garden and finally last Sat the ground seemed about right. Started to plow and only made about 3 furrows and heard a strange hsssing sound when I raised the plow. Looked back and a shiny substance was all over the rear of the tractor and the heel of my left boot. One of the FastHitch hyd cyl lines blew...I found a replacement at TSC (36"). Had it cut down about 6 inches, replaced the connector to match the cyl and "Voila!" Back in business! Well, since then, we've had about 3 days of cold 20ish degree weather here. The garden has gotten soggy in the top 3 or 4 inches due to freeze/thaw. Just enough in a couple of places to make plowing unbearable. Anyway, just sharing that I'm really relieved that I got the hyds. working again. I'll finish plowing if it ever dries enough. BobG in VA

That happened to me with a Super C when plowing the garden. I had just made the last pass across the garden and when I lifted the plows one of the hydraulic hose's blew on the fasthitch. I made up new lines in at work and replaced both hoses.

Mornin Hal, You know whats funny when I here guys talkin about plowing up their garden with that size tractor. When the Farmall 200 or 230 first came out, International advertised that the tractor could maintain all the duties on a 100 acre farm. Dont get me wrong, I think its great when these old tractors earn their keep, what I find funny, is the fact that originally they were advertised to do way more.

If someone today was working 100 acres they would probablly own a 826 or 966 :")

Hey, I grew up on a 120 acre farm in central VA. All we had was a '50 Ford 8N that Dad bought new the year I was born. Next door, the neighbor was a dairy farmer. He milked about 75 Holsteins. He had a JD A and B. His FIL had a Ferg T20. He got an 801 Ford later on that he did the plowing with. Had a New Idea baler with a V4 Wisconsin that would turn out as many bales as you had hay. We done OK....for the times. BobG in VA

We didn't even have a baler until I was to graduate from high school. We used a hay loader pulled behind the hay wagon and a 10-20 tractor. They may have used the horses and mules before I came along. Don't see many postings about those hay loaders. Still beat loading that hay with pitchforks. Hal
