I got a 400 this spring, and the TA was out (like most). I going to try to fix it. But I have read a service buletin, that said, do not mix cr-pltd and non-cr-pltd rollers,cr-pltd ramp and non-cr-pltd roller or cr-pltd roller and non-crpltd ramp. My tractor has the non-cr-pltd roller and ramp in it. I can only get from IH the cr-pltd roller. What does cr-pltd and non-cr-pltd stand for? Will they work in my ramp,or will I have to get a new ramp? A new ramp from IH is 800. I have started taking my tractor apart,I have worked on a 300 when I was a kid. I hope I can get it back together. I will have a lot of questions before I get this tractor back together. It is a early 400, the tractor will use for hay work and Div.1 pullin once a year. Any help would be helpful.

Thank's guys for comments, I have just got the top part off like the gas tank and steering housing. I have to get the oil out the rear end. But I have work tomorrow so it will be this weekend before I can work on it again. A lot of bull work.

If you get the entire TA unit out, there is an outfit that advertises in Red Power that my buddy sent his TA unit to and got it rebuilt-ramps, rollers, guarantee, for $625.

Bates Corporation in Bourbon Indiana is worth checking out. They handle new, used and rebuilt parts for IH.
