I finally got to your message about the H. Yes, it does have the 350 fire craters in it. I think that I'm running about 125 psi. The head is the DC instead of the DD head. And you guessed it, clearance problems. The fella that helped me with the engine did a little rework on the backside of the pistons to make the head fit. I believe he said there is 040 or 060 clearance. Otherwise the engine is balanced and
did some minor headwork to it. I have been very satisfied with the way it pulls. By the way I pull Div2 NATPA. Our club is in
West Central Nebraska. My weight classes are 4000 and 4500. I'm in the process of building pressed steel for the rear. I had hubs built already. I built wheel for the front using 300U hubs and centers from a JD 95 combine rear. 13 inch rims. It looks mean. Since I dropped the front down, it has been pulling better.

We got a Super H thats bout like that,,,, We happend to find a set of M&W high domed pistons and put in it. Worked out great!! Still way too much power for low gear,, even at 5000lbs,,, with 14.9X38 tires. We actually detuned it and that helped it out quite a bit. Thats our div 1 puller,,,,, then we have another H a 52 model,, has IH 6 cyl pistons with a 1 inch stroke for 3500-5500 div 2-3 classes,,, solid 2nd and 3rd gear tractor,,, pulls real well,,, but not like the third H I have,,, I did drop the nose down to where my front tires are almost rubbing the frame rails,,, I run that H from 3500- whatever I wanted to throw on it, (that my back allowed me to do) LOL! Div 3,4 and 5 classes. Solid 4th gear tractor up to 5000lbs. The block puked, so ive been 3 years redoing the design so it dont happen again. I used weld on hubs for the rear, Ih baler front rims, and IH wagon hubs for the front,,, 6 bolt, with 4.00X15 tri rib tires. Has a rake to it,,, but it looks good and not so slanted down it looks bad,,, with me on it empty is 3200, but its all cast iron still. Chad
