Looks like 4000 dollars in rubber there.

I wouldn"t think it would bring much over $10,000. I have seen them go for a lot less, usually in the 6 mark. They are too small for any serious work around here. Also, the hyd. pump isn"t big enough to run many implements, mainly an air seeder. No power shift. They also are a Steiger painted red, made by the Steiger company for IH. Parts are interchangable with the old Steigers.

Matt,

There's a LOT of IH in the powertrain of that thing that was NOT used in the puke green steigers of the time.

It is NOT a steiger painted red, although it WAS assembled at Fargo.

Look at the IH "rear end" used as the front axle in the photo.

NO steiger Clark or whatever the heck front axle steiger used at the time under there!

If it was green it would easily fetch about $90,000, but since it is RED, and the fact that it is ALL THERE, it should go over $100,000.

That thing is a beast!!

I'd hate to get ran over by that, must be at leaat 10ton.
I've say at LEAST 15,000, probably more and I know nothing about tractor pricing. Those were around 100,000 new, werent they?

That tractor was priced at $42,500 for the basic standard equipped tractor...duals and other stuff was a little extra. They weighed from 20 to 25 thousand pounds. This model had the good DT466 engine, the biger ones had the not-so-good IH V8 diesels.
