I recently bought a 424 with a 2000 loader. I would like to know what year it is. Looked at the registry but the 424 is not listed. the serial # is 13063, could anyone tell me what year it is? Thanks

Bob Farrell, I'll keep you in mind if I run across any parts and Bob thanks for your help. Your tractor looks very good. Mine needs paint but it runs good and has plenty of power. I've been farming on my own since 1965 when I got out of high school and this 424 is the first tractor I've owned with a loader on it. Don't know how I got along without it.

Hi Everyone, I have never seen a 424 but yours looks much like British build 434 Diesel that we had back in the 1970s. Is the swept back front axle and the different power steering hookup the American built version?
Does it have a British build BD144 Diesel engine with glow plug start?

Just curious about 424

I also have a IH-424 that i need some parts for - grill assembly, etc. Haven't found very many posted. If you run into some parts you don't need would appreciate it if you keep me in mind and I'll do likewise for you. Thanks ! Bob F.

Bob,

Go to eBay home (www.ebay.com). In the upper right of the page, click on "Advanced Search". Under "Enter keyword or item" put "424" without the quotation marks. Under "In this category" select "Business and Industrial" Then click "search title and description" underneath. Then hit the gray search rectangle on the right.

After the next page loads, click on "Agriculture and Forestry" on the left column.

The next page that loads will pretty much show you most of what"s available as far as 424 parts. I would then bookmark that page so you don"t have to go through all this again.

Congratulations on buying a great little tractor.

They have the serial number in the INTERNATIONAL section.

It's a 1966.
